Using Google BlogSearch to try to find places for comments

July 7th, 2008

Looking for a blog to place a comment on? try out http://blogsearch.google.com

Search for something related to your blog and then if you find anything, go there and leave a nice comment.

When you leave a comment include a URL to your blog/site, also try to leave a comment that’s more then just something like: Hey come visit my blog URL HERE.

Got any tips for commenting, comment below and list them!

Submit your blog to blog topsites

June 27th, 2008

Do you want some traffic, if you do, you may want to try listing your blog in blog topsites.

To find blog topsites, do a search on Google for “blog topsites”.

If you don’t have an image for your blog, make one. Some topsites may ask you for an image, never turn down the opportunity to use an image that could get you more clicks.

If the topsitesĀ  asks you for a description, write a good one.

If you need help on anything I posted about, or you have tips on what I posted about, feel free to comment

Commenting on Blogs for Traffic, Publicity, and maybe some readers

June 17th, 2008

Have you tried commenting on other blogs for traffic, publicity, and maybe some readers?

Commenting is one way that may get you some regular readers. Leave a comment on someone elses blog and include a link to your own if you can, otherwise leave your URL. If you comment on another persons blog, don’t leave spam, instead say something about their post.

Don’t expect Google PageRank from your comments, as blogs can make use nofollow and not give you a “vote” of PageRank.

Don’t leave a comment like:”H3y com Chck out my Bl0g at http://www.myblogurl.com”, instead write a comment like:”That post was great, I especially liked the part about dogs, those are my favorite animals.”

Some blogs may have comment-moderation turned on. With comment-moderation your comment may not ever appear publicly, but don’t let this cause you not to comment, go ahead and comment, what could it hurt?

You might consider using http://www.thelinktrack.com/ , this will let you track some(maybe all) traffic from your comments.

Don’t let this be your only way of advertising, use other methods also.
